I recently purchased a Sansui DVD recorder / VCR. I want to be able to record TV programs onto DVD and erase them later. The manual says to use DVD-RW version 1.0 or 1.1 DVD-RW discs. I can't find any disc that indicates what version it is so I bought a 5-pack of DVD-RW discs at Staples and they don't work. Does anybody have any idea where I can buy version 1.0 or 1.1 discs?

Sometimes a new software driver is available for upgrading the DVD/VCR for higher speed recordings.

Ask for availability at http://www.orionsalesinc.com/index2.htm

Below you can see the difference for DVD Disc's

DVD-R for General Version 2.0 / 4X-SPEED DVD-R Revision 1.0
DVD-RW Version 1.1 / 2X-SPEED DVD-RW Revision 1.0
***
DVD-R for General Version 2.0 / 6X-SPEED DVD-R Revision 2.0
/ 8X-SPEED DVD-R Revision 3.0
DVD-RW Version 1.2 / 4X-Speed DVD-RW Revision 2.0
****
DVD-R for General Version 2.1 / 12X-Speed DVD-R Revision 5.0
/ 16X-Speed DVD-R Revision 6.0
DVD-RW Version 1.2 / 6X-Speed DVD-RW Revision 3.0

I can't record on my VRDVD4005. I get "c206" as a fault code. The manual does not explain it. Any out there know? It uses dvd-r. I have a dvd-rw in it which is supposedly acceptable. I looked for  "Sansui" tech support and found none. Help!
